6 injured in multi-vehicle crash in L.A. County At least six people, including one child, were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in a San Fernando Valley neighborhood that may have involved a stolen vehicle suspect, authorities announced. Medical personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to 12700 block of West Vanowen Street, near Bellaire Avenue, in Valley Glen at around 7 p.m. At the scene, firefighters found a five-vehicle collision involving five adult victims and one child, all of whom were transported to the hospital in fair condition, LAFD said.  Aerial footage from Sky5 showed a heavy presence of firefighters and police at the scene. Wonder Fire consumes 40 acres near Shasta Lake SHASTA COUNTY – Evacuation warnings and road closures remained in place Monday night as crews battled a wildfire just south of Shasta Lake, authorities said.The Wonder Fire was first reported around 4:15 p.m. near Wonderland Boulevard and Fawndale Road, just off Interstate 5, the Cal Fire Shasta-Trinity Unit said in a social media post.As of 6:15 p.m., the wildfire had consumed 40 acres of grass, brush and timber and was burning at a moderate rate of spread, according to Cal Fire. Palo Alto man robbed in his own backyard after suspect pops out of foliage: police (KRON) -- A Palo Alto man was standing in his own backyard early Monday morning when a suspect popped out of the brush and robbed him, the Palo Alto Police Department said. The suspect remains at large.Police were called to the 3000 block of Ross Road at 12:26 a.m. Monday for the report of a stolen necklace. Man shot dead in Santa Rosa Jack in the Box drive-thru "The investigation revealed that the victim, a man in his forties, had been in his backyard whenmale subject emerged from the foliage and demanded money. When the victim refused, thesuspect forcibly ripped a necklace from the victim’s neck and fled on foot," PAPD said. The victim was not injured in the incident. The suspect was described by police as a Hispanic man in his 40s, standing about 5-foot-10 with a thin build. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
