Lakeville native Jake Oettinger turns Minnesota homecoming into business trip vs. Wild No matter how long Lakeville native Jake Oettinger plays in the NHL, he likely will get butterflies playing a game in St. Paul. Though he had already played at the Xcel Energy Center as a member of the Dallas Stars, the 24-year-old goaltender knew the playoffs were going to be a different beast. If anyone would know that, it’s Oettinger. He was in the stands as a fan on April 21, 2014 when Mikael Granlund scored a a diving goal in overtime to lift the Wild to a 1-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche. At the time, Oettinger was a 15-year-old who couldn’t even even dream of playing on such a big stage.Nearly a decade later, Oettinger helped the Stars steal a 3-2 victory over the Wild in Game 4 on Sunday night, sending the series back to Dallas tied at 2-2.“To come in here and get home ice advantage back for us is big,” Oettinger said. “Just got to do what we do well again in Game 5.”That shouldn’t be a problem for Oettinger. After establishing him...
