SAN FRANCISCO — It isn’t just the corner threes, ability to crash the boards from any angle, vision on the court and sneaky-quick hands on the defensive side that the Warriors will miss in Donte DiVincenzo’s absence this season.More than anything else, it’s his energy.“He impacted the game as soon as he got out there,” coach Steve Kerr said on Tuesday. “That’s why the fans loved him.”DiVincenzo made his debut with the New York Knicks on Monday night, when he began his tenure by missing the first six shots he took in their preseason win over the Boston Celtics. The 26-year-old guard who signed a four-year, $50-million deal to play his home games at Madison Square Garden, told reporters in New York that he’s still not yet comfortable in the Knicks system.“Still learning a new coach and a new environment,” he said.Back in the Bay Area, the Warriors are trying to figure out what life without him will look like.“I thought Dante was so important for us last year because he was just i...Single family residence in Fremont sells for $2.6 million

This was proved when 55 mph speed limits were in effect. Lower speeds will also reduce fuel consumption. But I question a couple of things in Heather Knight’s story. As tragic as they are, I think pedestrian injuries and deaths are sometimes a result of inattention (by both drivers and pedestrians) rather than just speed. By Amer Madhani, Tara Copp and Darlene Superville | Associated PressWASHINGTON — President Joe Biden on Tuesday confirmed that U.S. citizens are among the hostages captured by Hamas as he condemned the militant group for the “sheer evil” of its shocking weekend assault on Israel.“Our hearts may be broken but our resolve is clear,” said Biden, who compared the brutality of the Hamas militants to that of the Islamic State terrorist group. He added: “Let there be no doubt. The United States has Israel’s back. We’ll make sure the Jewish and democratic state of Israel can defend itself today, tomorrow as we always have.”The president coupled his unflinching defense for Israel with only a glancing reference to the suffering that innocent Palestinians are enduring from Israel’s barrage of retaliatory fire on the Gaza Strip, where the Hamas attack was launched.
